Yarrow Place currently employs in the daytime service;
- Director 1.0 FTE
- Administrative staff 3.0 FTE
- Social workers 6.2 FTE
- Medical Officers 1.8 FTE
- Project staff 2.0 FTE
Total 14.0 FTE (FTE = Full time equivalent. Ie a person
who works 2 ½ days a week or half time is 0.5FTE)
After hours services are provided by a panel of
- 15 Crisis Response Workers, and
- 10 Medical Officers.
Yarrow Place has:
- a Management Committee who are responsible for deciding our
goals, policies and priorities
- a Director who is responsible for managing the service and
for providing leadership in service development, policy, and prevention
across the State
- Medical Officers (doctors) who provide medical care, including
collecting forensic evidence from people who want to pursue legal
action, and who provide specialised training and support to other
doctors and health workers
- Social Workers who provide counselling, training, group work
and crisis response services during the day, and who provide specialised
training and support to other counsellors and support workers
- an after hours panel of Medical Officers and Crisis Response
Workers who provide medical and crisis response services after
hours, for recent assaults
- Project Officers who work on specific projects
- Administrative Officers who provide clerical support for all
the staff and the Management Committee.
- An Aboriginal Sexual Assault Worker for adults
- An Aboriginal Sexual Assault Worker for youth
- A Youth Sexual Assault Counsellor outreached to SHOPFRONT Youth Health and Information Service
All staff at Yarrow Place are trained to provide a sensitive and
comprehensive response to rape and sexual assault.
